About
Equipped for anything. Testing first, selling second.
AllEquipped is a gear store that hasn't opened yet — on purpose.
The name is the whole idea: being equipped for whatever you're walking into. Rope access and work at height, camping and the outdoors, optics, bikes, off-road — the through-line isn't a category, it's being prepared. We're starting at height, because that's where the stakes are highest and the difference between good gear and adequate gear is measured in something other than comfort.
Most gear shops start with a catalog and work backward to a point of view. We're doing it the other way round. Before we sell anything, we're working through the brands we rate one at a time: who makes them, what they're made of, where they're made, how they behave when something goes wrong, and whether the thing holds up when it matters.
Those write-ups live on Brands We Love. They're honest, unpaid, and not affiliate-linked — which means they include the parts a brand would rather we left out. Some of these brands will end up in our catalog. Some won't. You'll be able to tell which is which, because we'll say so.
The Journal is everything else — field notes, gear that failed, jobs that went sideways, and what we learned building this thing.
