Nearly 40 years ago Speer developed a process to improve rifle bullet integrity and called it Hot-Cor.

Hot-Cor means that the lead core is poured into the jacket while molten. This virtually eliminates the core slippage so common to bullets assembled with a cold lead slug. Speer uses the Hot-Cor process today on all of their flat-base big game bullets. It makes a great bullet with the penetration and expansion needed for larger game. Available in a variety of nose profiles in calibers from 24 (6mm) to 458.
